What is this test for?
It measures the severity of nine DSM-aligned depression symptoms based on how often they occurred over the past two weeks only — not your whole life. It's used in primary care clinics worldwide as a quick screening tool before any deeper evaluation.
How do you benefit from your result?
A score of 10 or higher is the most commonly used threshold suggesting a need for deeper clinical evaluation. But more important than the number itself is the trend: retake the test every two weeks if you're under care or treatment, since the change in score is a more honest indicator of improvement than any single isolated reading.
