اختبار WHO-5 Well-Being Index، طوّره المكتب الإقليمي الأوروبي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية، نُشر عام 1998. الاختبار حر الاستخدام تماماً ولا يتطلب أي إذن، مع طلب واحد فقط: أن يُذكر كمصدر عند استخدامه.
The WHO-5 Well-Being Index, developed by the WHO Regional Office for Europe, published in 1998. The instrument is completely free to use and requires no permission, with one simple request: that it be cited as the source when used.

What is this test for?
خلافاً لمعظم اختبارات الفرز التي تسأل عن الأعراض السلبية، هذا الاختبار يقيس الرفاهية الإيجابية مباشرة — وهذا يقلل من وصمة الإجابة عليه، ويجعله أداة جيدة للمتابعة الدورية حتى بلا شكوى واضحة.
Unlike most screening tests that ask about negative symptoms, this one measures positive well-being directly — which reduces the stigma of answering it, and makes it a good tool for routine monitoring even without a clear complaint.

How do you benefit from your result?
درجة 50 فأقل هي العتبة الشائعة للإشارة إلى احتمال وجود اكتئاب يستحق فحصاً أعمق (بأداة مثل PHQ-9)، ودرجة 28 فأقل مؤشر أقوى على ذلك. تابع هذا الرقم كل أسبوعين إذا كان منخفضاً، فاتجاهه أهم من أي قراءة منفردة.
A score of 50 or below is the common threshold suggesting possible depression worth deeper screening (with a tool like PHQ-9), and 28 or below is a stronger signal of that. Track this number every two weeks if it's low — the trend matters more than any single reading.
