Age
Your chronological age is fixed, but your body's metabolic "age" moves based on your lean mass. This tool compares the two directly from your measurements.
عمرك الأيضي التقديري:Your estimated metabolic age:—سنةyears
What equation is used?
We calculate your lean body mass from your measurements (using the US Navy method to estimate fat), then compute your basal metabolism from it using the Katch-McArdle equation, which relies directly on lean mass. We then compare this figure to a reference curve for someone of your height and sex at a typical healthy weight, to find which age matches your actual metabolism.
What does the result mean?
If your metabolic age is lower than your actual age, it means your muscle mass is above average for your age — a good sign. If it's higher, it usually reflects lower-than-expected muscle relative to your fat, not necessarily a medical issue, but an indicator that can be improved through training.
How to use this number to improve your life?
The one proven way to lower your metabolic age is building muscle through regular resistance training — not harsh diets, which can cost you additional muscle. Recalculate every 2–3 months to track the trend; it's a slow, cumulative change, not a daily one.
